How do you make terrazzo flooring look pretty after it's been under carpet for 30 years? Hire someone or DIY? - terrazzo polishing

We raise our carpets in the house, but I do not know what I read in the terrazzo floors, they expect to see. You need someone to polish? Or should we rent a buffer? Any special cleaner that you recommend? I guess going to see really bad, but nothing beats this awful carpet! I would appreciate any advice or opinion. Mil gracias!
